The House
MarqueDeLago sits at the top of Emerald Residences, high above a Bucharest lake, arranged as a duplex across two floors and wrapped almost entirely in glass. Light arrives in the morning across the water and settles into the city by night.
The master suite was shaped by Pininfarina. The kitchen runs on Miele, the sound is Bowers and Wilkins, and the whole penthouse answers to a single smart home system. Two terraces with heated floors stay open through winter, one facing the lake with a jacuzzi beneath a retractable pergola, the other a summer kitchen made for long dinners in the open air.
It is the modern counterpoint to Castelaria, for a different kind of escape and the same standard of care.
